Parent Volunteer Support Organization (VSO)

Welcome!  The Paul VI Panther Boys' Lacrosse Parent Volunteer Support Org (VSO) is a fellowship of family members that have a common goal - to support Our School, Our Paul VI HS Boys Lacrosse Program, Our Coaches and our Student Athletes.  We coordinate with and support the head coach and his staff to ensure that the Boys Lacrosse Program has the resources and support required to achieve its Program Vision & Mission.

Here are just a few ways you can help:

  • Fundraising - the Fundraising Committee and sub-committee leads are responsible for coordinating the efforts of our Parent VSO to raise funds to meet the needs of the Boys Lacrosse Program.  The committee coordinates with the Parent VSO Chair and Head Coach to assess fundraising requirements, develops and executes a plan each year to meet those needs with the help and support of the PVI Athletic Boosters.  Current Major Fundraising Activities include our Media Guide AD Sponsorship Drive, our Thanksgiving to Christmas Holiday Peanuts Sales Drive, Summer Camps and Fall/ Winter Clinics.

  • Special Events - This Committee Coordinates and Executes Ongoing Special Events and Program Activities (such as our Off Season Tournament Tailgates; In Season Team Meals and Pre/Post Game Tailgates; Annual Pre-Season "Face-Off" Parent Social; "Senior Night" Festivities; Year-End Program Banquet; "Youth Night" and other Home Game Promotions).  They also propose new events and special events during the season to celebrate team accomplishments and to generally ensure that our Players, Parents and Coaches have a positive experience

  • Community Outreach - This committee is responsible for maintaining existing and establishing new outreach partnerships to support the local community and also to support regional/ national  priority causes related to our Faith, Those in Need, Youth Health, our Military & First Responders and other community services activities deemed worthy of our support.  The Committee Coordinates with Campus Ministry and the Head Coach to select appropriate causes to support and to help ensure that our players are meeting their quarterly community service hours requirement.

  • Game Day Support - This committee is responsible for ensuring that the Head Coach has the required game day operations support for Home Games (ie Pre-Game Meals, Concession Stand Support; Team Tent Set-Up, if required, Booth Play by Play Announcer & Spotters, Scoreboard/ Game Clock operation; Pre-Game Prayer, National Anthem, Scorers Table Support, and extra Game Balls on End-lines and Sidelines) and Away Games (ie Pre-Game & Post Game Snacks for the Bus Ride to and from Away Games and Scorer's Table Support & Team Tent Set-Up, if required)
  • Athletic Booster Club Rep- Serves as a Liaison to and helps Coordinate our Boy's Lacrosse Parent VSO supports the Paul VI Atheltic Boosters' Club (ABC).  We strongly encourages all parents to join the PVI ABC.  The ABC is in place to perform three functions.  The first and most important is to support our Student-Athletes.  Our goal is to try and assist PVI in making the student-athletes’ high school athletic experiences the very best.  The second is to support the PVI Athletics Department (which in turn supports Boys Lacrosse & the other 27 PVI Athletic Programs and the many Intramural Activities that are made available to our students).  Last but certainly not least, we support the PVI School-Wide Community and help PVI stand out as a School we can all be Proud of!
