Our Vision for the Paul VI Boys Lacrosse program is to be the “Most Respected High School Lacrosse Program in Virginia and the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area”. Our Program Mission is first and foremost, to help our student-athletes become High Character, High Quality Young Men, prepared to face challenges, overcome adversity, support & serve others in need and to succeed in college and beyond. Secondly, we want our players to learn what it takes to prepare to compete at the highest level, both individually and as part of a team. Finally, we want to help our players attend the best colleges that align with their personal and family goals.

Our Boys Lacrosse Program plays one of the most demanding schedules in the nation. Our 2018 spring schedule includes several top 10, top 25 and top 50 opponents in the nation. We have a very competitive WCAC conference schedule (i.e., Gonzaga, DeMatha, St. Mary's Ryken, Good Counsel, St. John's, Bishop O’Connell, Bishop Ireton) and a very strong D-I VISAA schedule (i.e. Collegiate, Episcopal, Norfolk Academy, Flint Hill, St. Anne’s-Belfield, Cape Henry Collegiate, and Woodberry Forest).

We will also compete against top regional and nationally ranked teams in our Out of Conference schedule (i.e. Reigning National Champion - Landon, Perennial Top 5 National Power – the Hill Academy, and reigning VHSL Public School State Champion – Woodson High School), in our pre-season scrimmages (Bullis, Georgetown Prep & Loyola Blakefield), and in off-season High School Showcase Tourney games last fall and summer (i.e., IMG Academy, Boys Latin, Haverford, McDonogh, Malvern Prep, St. Paul’s, St. Mary’s Annapolis).

We encourage our student-athletes to play multiple sports and engage in all the activities PVI has to offer. As an example, many of our Boys Lacrosse players serve in Student Government (SGA). Three of the last five SGA Presidents have been Boys Lacrosse players. Like most Catholic High Schools, we also stress a strong commitment to service for those in need. Our program participates in supporting multiple causes. Some of the top causes include: Operation Warrior Outreach - collecting donated necessities that we ship over to our troops overseas, sponsoring the families of Wounded Warriors based at Walter Reed Hospital for the Christmas holiday, and attending Honor Flights to honor our nation’s Service Veteran’s; PVI Options Program - a special needs student class that does a terrific job of developing special needs students- we help out with Special Olympics programs that our Options students participate in.

This spring we will also be supporting the V Foundation’s mission to support children suffering from Pediatric Brian Cancer, with our participation in the Kind of Spring HS Showcase Event in Durham, NC. Our Boys Lacrosse players are also called upon by our Campus Ministry to support various local and global causes (i.e., School Mission Trips, Lamb Center for the Homeless, and various student sponsored service projects).

We are continuing to build on the foundation of success achieved over the past 5 seasons by our PVI players and coaches who are supported by our program parents. We cannot fulfill our Program Vision & Mission without the financial resources provided by our main annual fundraiser – The Boys Lacrosse Media Guide. Direct sponsor contributions and funds raised via our Media Guide advertisements help defray the costs of program operations, team equipment, team supplies, team travel, team training, uniforms, field rentals, team meals and to the above-mentioned community service activities that we support as a program.

To our current and past sponsors, THANK YOU for helping us build our foundation for success. We hope you will proudly continue to support our PVI Boys Lacrosse Program. For potential new sponsors, we look forward to adding you to the list of those who are helping us build the most respected High School lacrosse program in Virginia and the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area.
